35 Years of Connection: A Celebration of The Befriending Scheme

🌟🥳 Wow, 35 years - what an incredible milestone! 🌟🥳

This Friday, we had the privilege of hosting a special event at Red Rose Community Farm to mark an incredible 35 years of The Befriending Scheme!

It was an afternoon filled with laughter, music, speeches, and heartfelt conversations. Volunteers, members, and local residents from Lindsey came together to celebrate this momentous occasion, reflecting on all the ways we’ve supported adults with additional needs and those at risk across Suffolk.

With cake, singing, and lots of reminiscing, it was a truly wonderful celebration of community and connection.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to make this event extra special.

Suffolk Community Foundation Annual Review and High Sheriff Awards

Our CEO, Shirley Moore, attended the Suffolk Community Foundation's Annual Review and the High Sheriff's Awards last week.

Suffolk Community Foundation is celebrating 20 years of grant-making, this year. Over this period SCF has hugely impacted so many charities across Suffolk, including, The Befriending Scheme, to which we are extremely grateful.

Grants of SCF have enabled us to continue to provide vital services supporting people of all ages with additional needs / low mental health.
