Vacancy - Community Engagement Worker - Children and Families

The Befriending Scheme (TBS) is an established charity set up 32 years ago, to provide friendship and learning opportunities for vulnerable adults aged 16+. One of our exciting recent developments is our work with vulnerable children and families.

We are looking for an energetic individual with sound organisational skills who has the ability to think creatively and can be flexible and dynamic in their approach, manage a busy children’s group, recruit appropriate volunteers and work well in a team.

The post holder will befriend, inform and empower disadvantaged families and individuals helping them to identify areas where they need help and support, and assist them to build links in the community. There is also a responsibility for seeking out new opportunities for partnerships and further engagement work for our Children and Families groups in Hadleigh and Sudbury.
