Our Wonderful trip to Colchester Zoo
Last week The Befriending Scheme organised a trip to Colchester Zoo for unpaid carers and the individuals they care for. We arranged coach travel to the Zoo and supplied everyone with tickets for just £5pp. This allowed for some respite for the carers as well as a fun day out for the person they care for, without them having to worry about high costs. Some of our members also attended, with the costs fully covered by TBS. Everybody had a brilliant day, meeting new people, observing the animals, and even getting the opportunity to feed some of the animals too.
We were pleased to receive some amazing feedback from those who attended, we are so glad that we were able to provide an enjoyable, stress free trip for the unpaid carers who work so hard everyday. TBS hopes to arrange more trips like this in the future.
TBS ANNUAL BALL
The Befriending Scheme has announced our Halloween Ball 2019! It will be held at AFC Sudbury’s Kings Marsh Stadium, 7:30pm-10:30pm.
Everybody is welcome to attend, and tickets are £25 each. Multiple methods of payment are accepted so please give Sophie a call on 01787 371333
